this past weekend, we had a small group of family and friends over to the house to celebrate Luke turning one! it was a pow wow theme complete with a tent & dessert table. the spread of treats were thrown together the morning of, but that damn feather garland took me two days and a lot burnt finger tips from a hot glue gun. it was worth it though, and it came out exactly how i wanted it to look. it was the most beautiful sunny day and luke had such a good time with his cousins and friends and opening his gifts (i gave him a little help.)  it has been the most amazing first year of being a mom and it was such a special day celebrating with the special people in our lives 🙂
