ROOM TOUR!

image

Steve has lived in his house for around 10 years now, so when Luke and I moved in, we had to switch up the rooms so we could accommodate for my wardrobe… (priorities). Luke took Steve’s old room with the smaller closet and we moved across the hall. the room needed a little TLC, so over the winter my whole family descended upon the space and painted the ceiling, walls, trim… anything we could get our hands on. over the following months, i slowly painted the chalkboard mountains, the closet, the closet door & added the furniture. just this past week we finally got the daybed and put the finishing touches on one of the cutest bedrooms. no joke, i want to be in the room all day. if i were a kid… i would love it 🙂 it is my dream bedroom for Luke in every way and i’m so thankful steve let me do what i wanted in terms of colors (i can get a bit crazy) and furniture.

i asked Steve the other day what he thought my “style” was… because i can’t really tell… he replied “you like what you like and that’s it” … the man knows me 🙂 i just see something and know that is it and don’t settle until i get that feeling. it makes things take a lot longer and involves a lot more shopping & research, but in the end, i love having rooms where you have a personal connection with each and every item, and each space reflects your personality and style. i’d like to think i’m very colorful, but with touches of modern & vintage 😉 hope you like it!

all the walls in the room are benjamin moore – white ice *one of my favorite paint colors EVER. it is basically white with just the slightest hint of blue/green. its really beautiful.

closet is benjamin moore – kendall charcoal & savannah green trim

the diaper organizer shelf thing is an old tiny bookshelf from when i was a kid

i put his honest diapers on the top shelf, second shelf is wipes, face wipes, his octopus starlight, & the bottom shelf is his nighttime diapers & diapers that go in the diaper bag (i have this one here). as much as i love the cute patterns of the honest diapers, pampers 12hr wetness protection ones are way better for nighttime (in my opinion)

hope you all like the room! it is the first one that has been redone in the house.. now on to our bedroom! I look forward to showing each and every room upon completion! 🙂

happy weekend!
