READY, SET, PLAY!

this is an hour in the life of a one year old in his new room. an hour captured by our fujifilm. an hour full of emptying every drawer, shelf, & basket within reach. an hour of complete and utter destruction with some “uh ohs” thrown in for good measure. these pics describe Luke perfectly.

the kid loves using his fingers. anything he can find to stick his finger into: holes, creases, cracks, etc… he loves to spin things on the ground and turn the little knobs on his dresser. we joke he will be an architect one day.

these two pictures melt my heart. he loves to stand with both hands behind his back sticking his little belly (his bells as we call it) out. THAT is the Luke stance.

and this is his favorite toy.

architect, or juggler 😉

hope you all are having a wonderful week!

*i received a couple of questions regarding why we purchased a daybed. I still have a lot of pain when I sit in chairs from my tailbone removal surgery… recliners are the worst. with the daybed, I can sit comfortably indian style on the daybed and still have enough room for Luke to sit in my lap & read stories. i highly recommend this piece of furniture! also, since there are only two bedrooms in the house, the daybed could one day become Luke’s bed if we decide to add to our pack 😉
